The Abbey Online Retreat introduces you to the lives and practices of a small community of Sisters in the south of France, who are members of the Cistercian order.
This retreat is for anyone seeking to draw breath and become more attentive to the world and the presence of God. You will discover the possibility of a new way of living —being less busy and anxious and finding peace.
You will have the opportunity to learn how to make space for God inside you, space to grow within.
The Retreat Sessions
There are 7 video sessions to enjoy on your own or in a group. The first session introduces you to The Abbey and the Benedictine Rule and the following sessions will relate to your senses. You will be encouraged to slow down experience space, silence, solitude, and rest, and learn the importance of a balanced body, mind, and soul.
Each session comes with reflective practices to help you go deeper in your relationship with God and be present to the possibility of a new way of seeing and living life.
The Abbey Online Retreat is filmed on location at The Abbey in the South of France.
A number of the sessions will be translated from French to English, and all sessions have subtitles.

About Us
This retreat was developed in collaboration with the Sisters, Virginie Conte Robert, and Deborah Protter. After many years leading retreats in France, Virginie and Deborah felt it was time to make this Abbey experience more available to all women through an online retreat.
